Unfortunately I'm now back in the states. If you have the time you may want to visit Breada Moran at Meadowfield Bed & Breakfast for some of the local history of the Ballyvaughan area. Her B&B is on the main road to Galway just outside of the village. I hope you enjoy yourselves - the Burren is an very beautiful part of Ireland.

Have been following parts of your blog with interest, since we leave tomorrow for Ireland, and are in Ballyvaughan from 19th to 22nd, at Loughrask Lodge. Are you around then? Would be pleasant to meet you.

Thanks for taking the time to reply - I am trying to visually convey the powerful feeling I feel when I visit Leamaneh, I'm happy to read you see that in the drawing.

Another fabulous drawing Linda-I can understand your reluctance to put a woman in that drawing. Marie is a powerful woman, in history and perhaps in myth?

The castle, to me, has always been very powerful on its own somehow and that is captured in your drawing.

Deb
Thank you for your kind comments. I'm happy that you like them and that you can recognize them. Currently, I'm working on a complete composition of Leameneh Castle and hope to have the drawing finished before I leave for Ireland on the 24th. In these drawings, I'm hoping to be able to communicate the "feeling" of these places - the sense of history.

Enjoy your 2 week break - I hope the weather is nice for you.
